Mediation Styles

Facilitative Mediation

In facilitative mediation, any decision making is left to those involved, the mediator has no decision making authority. The facilitative mediator offers a structured process for the parties to make best use of in seeking mutually satisfactory solutions. 

Transformative Mediation

In transformative mediation, the  aim is to empower the parties involved to make their own decisions and take their own actions.  The transformative  mediator provides  support to the parties  as their conflict transforms offering a brave space for transparency and vulnerability.  

Narrative Mediation

Narrative mediation focuses on the people and their stories.  the narrative mediator understand that the single narrative is how the individuals make sense of their perceived  conflict.  The mediators  help parties co-author a new narrative in an effort to restore trust and transform conflict.
